My Short Biography

I am a graphic artistwho creates traditional mixed media drawings, intaglio and relief prints, and hand made books, as well as mixed media digital prints. Prior to my academic career I was a Senior Designer and illustrator for PBS, a courtroom artist for ABC, and a digital artist for Reed Productions, producing medical illustrations, diagrams, and animations.



My work is in more than 150 collections, including the Smithsonian National Museum of Art Print Collection (Washington, D.C.), Fogg Museum of Art Print Collection, Harvard University (Cambridge, MA), Bodleian Library, University of Oxford (Oxford, U.K.), Harris College Collection (Cardiff, Wales), Kennaraháskóli Íslands University Print Collection, Stakkahlíö (Reykjavík, Iceland), Rossi Library Archives, (Rome, Italy), Palazzo Rinaldi, (Noépoli, Italy), Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, (Venice, Italy), Santa Reparata stamperia d/arte grafica, (Florence, Italy), and the Minnesota Historical Society (St. Paul, MN).  


Since 1987 my art works have been exhibited in many galleries, including The National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, D.C.), United Nations’ Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing, China), Studio la città (Verona, Italy), Artemisia Gallery, Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, and Anchor Graphics (Chicago, IL), Minnesota State Arts Board, Center for Book Arts and Minneapolis Art Institute (Minneapolis), William Over State Museum (Vermillion, SD), Beardsley Art Museum (Phoenix, AZ), Talladega Heritage Hall Museum, (Talladega, AL), and Fort Wayne Museum of Art (Fort Wayne, IN).  


I live and work in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Jacksonville, Alabama, where I am the Professor of Printmaking in the Department of Art at JSU. I'm listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in American Women.
